You may receive inbound from New Homes Developers requesting that either their address or a property address is amended on site for them. Updating a New Homes development’s location, it's display address and property locations are all updated under the development “Edit” in Site Admin on the first page. Every property under the development will have the same address. The customer can’t update the address and it doesn’t come through the feed; we must update it manually.

 

There are two different sections to change the address, the development address and the development address shown to users.



Updating the “Development Address”



  • This needs to be a registered address. You can check this on the Royal Mail website-https://www.royalmail.com/find-a-postcode
  • You only enter the postcode in this bit, the system fills in the rest
  • This will update the location of the development and property pin, the location of the pin will be based on the center of the postcode
  • This address is not visible on the site, only the “Display Address” below this field is, unless this isn’t filled in.
  • The customer will see this address in RM+ but if they look at the “Display Address” on the property listings it will show the one visible onsite.



Updating the “Development Address shown to users”





 

 

 


  • A custom address can be added – usually the development/site address
  • This will update the address displayed on the Microsite and on the properties, this is the only address any users of the site will ever see
  • We can be very flexible with what’s shown, as long as it’s accurate information they can have as much or as little of the address as they want here. 


Updating the pin position of the development

 

A customer may contact us, as the postcode it correct, however the position of the pin on a map is not in the right spot. If a customer asks us to move the position of a pin, here are the steps to complete this:
