Changing a Branch Address
To update a branch address, access to Site Admin is required, and both the Branch Address (internal) and Branch Address Shown to Users (public-facing) need to be updated.
Steps to Change Branch Address:
- Go to the branch in Site Admin and click Edit.
- Select Edit Address on the edit screen.
- Search for the new address using the postcode.
- Enter the property number and click Submit.
- Copy the updated address and paste it into the Branch Address Shown to Users box.
Note for Covering Branches
- The internal address should be set to the postcode of the covering town.
- The display address can be formatted as "Covering (location)."
- If the branch moves to a new town, ensure the branch name is updated to reflect this, as it must be a physical location that consumers can visit and that will appear in the "Find Agent" search.
Changing the Billing Address
Billing addresses need to be updated in P&R for invoicing purposes.
Steps to Change Billing Address:
- Obtain the Customer Number from the Account Management section in Site Admin.
- Go to P&R Payer Management.
- Enter the Exchequer Reference in the appropriate box.
- On the overview screen, click Edit next to the current address to make changes
PO Boxes
Agents are allowed to use PO Boxes for their display address on Rightmove. However, the actual physical address must still be used for the branch address to ensure the correct location appears on the platform and for billing purposes.
