What is a Merge?

A merge is where an agent has 2 separate profiles, 1 for their Sales stock and a separate 1 for their lettings stock. If the agent decides that they would like to have just 1 profile that shows both Sales and Lettings properties, they will be merged. 


When would an agent need their account Merged?

We would need to merge an agents account if they changed branding to be the same for sales and lettings, or they decided to use the same upload method for both sales and lettings. 


Which team processes the Merge?

The teams that process the merge would be contracts as they need to do all the system work and make everything look right on site,  it would be passed to ADF to contact the feed providers to make sure the feed comes over to the branch correctly.

What if an agent uses a feed?

If the agents use a feed, contracts will start the merge and then contact ADF to request for them to speak to the data feed provider once this has happened contracts will then finish off the merge process.


When cant a profile be merged?

A merge may not be able to happen if the agent doesn't have both channels available through there feed provider. For example, to load through to 2 profiles on Rightmove, the agent would also need 2 profiles within their software
