- What is a Split?
- When would an agent need their account Split?
- Which team processes the Split?
- What if an agent uses a feed?
- When can't a profile be Split?
What is a Split?
A split is where we take an agents current profile that will show both sales and lettings properties and give them 2 separate profiles 1 for lettings properties and 1 for sales properties.
When would an agent need their account Split?
There are two reasons a customer can split their account from a dual account to a split out paired branch.
- They will be uploading properties through two different software providers from sales to lettings
- The business uses different branding on the sales side of the business to the lettings side.
Once you have received confirmation from ADF or the agent as to the reason and details of the split, you will need to prepare a word document to store all the information you will need or add a note in Freshdesk to the ADF ticket.
Which team processes the Split?
There are 2 teams responsible for the split process. Contracts will start the split and create the second profile and if the agent uses a feed ADF will then deal with any data feed changes that need to happen. Once ADF have done the feed information and requested data, Contracts will then finish off the split and make the new profile live and visible.

What if an agent uses a feed?
If an agent uses a feed the request will go into the ADF team who will investigate and pass the details over to the contracts team to split out the branch. ADF will then request the data and then contracts will be able to finish the split off and make the branch live and visible.
When can't a profile be Split?
Sometimes agents will want there profile split so they appear twice in a find agent search, this isn't something we will action, we will only action a split for the above 2 reasons so it is fair to every agent.
