Draw Custom Search Areas

If a consumer is interested in a broad area, perhaps because they don't know the area very well yet, or they're open to the idea of living in a number of places, drawing their own search area can be a great way to combine multiple location onto one handy search.

They can combine multiple towns, villages, cities or boroughs into their search and then simply apply other criteria to provide a snapshot of all suitable properties in one view.

Creating a new area

Draw a search can be accessed Here. To save any drawn maps, the user will need to be logged into their My Rightmove account.

  • Zoom into the area where you would like to live
  • Left hand click your mouse to drop pins onto the map
  • Once all pins are mapped this will create a polygon
  • On the left panel enter a 'Name' for your drawn area & click 'Save area'

Once the above steps have been carried out, the user will now be able to view their Saved drawn area in their My Rightmove account.

Please note that the maximum amount of areas that can be created is 20.

Edit existing search areas

With Draw a search the user can edit Rightmove's pre-defined location areas, allowing them to create bespoke views of the towns or cities their looking to move to.

This is perfect if there's a particular area their really keen to love in, and also if they would like to exclude part of an area, Draw A Search let them tailor locations to their exact requirements. Follow the below steps to do this:
