Some agents use Rightmove Plus to advertise their properties with us. They may receive an error or encounter an issue.

Why does this happen?


The agent might see an error for the below reasons:


  • The page has timed out
  • Service is down
  • Not all mandatory fields are filled in (this won't generate an error but will prevent the agent from adding a property)
  • The property is already archived and sitting in their not live list


Is the property timing out?

If the images are too large, this will cause the update to time out. Please ask the agent to resize the image or file size and try again. 


The page may time out if the agent's internet speed is slow. It can also time out after 1 hour, regardless of it being used or not. We encourage agents to get the description and details ready in a word document to copy over to avoid the page timing out.


What should the agent do?


  1. Check the Live/ Not Live list as the property may have saved and gone into this list.
  2. Try asking the agent to "save and preview" and then save the property to see if this works. Or don't save and preview and just save the property.
  3. Ask the agent to clear their browsers cookies and cache (for all time) to remove any old/corrupt data. The agent will then need to close down the browser and open it back up to sign back in. If this doesn't work, ask the agent to try a different browser or try in an incognito window on Google Chrome.
  4. If the error persists, please ask the agent to copy the error they're seeing and send it to us in an email so we can raise it with the SA team.


When and how to raise to SA


If you can replicate the issue, raise to the SA team with the error message you see. Copy and paste the error as they will need the long error number.


If you can't replicate the issue, ask the agent to send in screenshots and console errors of the page they're seeing the error on and raise it to the SA team.
